We are seeking highly motivated, vigilant, and dedicated Security Guards to join our professional team in Zurich. As a Security Guard with Securitas AG, you will serve as a frontline representative, instrumental in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients’ premises, personnel, and valuable assets. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, either on foot or using company vehicles, to detect and deter signs of intrusion and ensure the integrity of all access points, including doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitor sophisticated surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, facilities, and critical access points to identify and report any security breaches or anomalies.
- Control and log the entry and exit of authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles, enforcing strict access control procedures.
- Prepare accurate and detailed daily activity reports, documenting any irregularities such as equipment malfunction, property damage, suspicious activities, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, investigate disturbances, and assess situations to determine the necessary course of action.
- Initiate contact with emergency services (police, fire department, ambulance) in critical situations such as fires, medical emergencies, or the presence of unauthorized individuals.
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to maintain order, prevent disruptive behavior, and safeguard client property.
- Strictly enforce all company and client-specific regulations and policies pertaining to the protection of life and property.
- Provide courteous, professional, and helpful assistance to employees, visitors, and clients as needed.
- Perform routine security checks and conduct thorough searches as per established protocols and legal guidelines.
- Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV, alarm panels, and access control systems, efficiently and effectively.
Required Skills
- A minimum of 1 year of proven professional experience as a Security Guard or in a closely related security position, demonstrating a solid understanding of security protocols and operational procedures.
- Excellent knowledge and practical application of public safety laws, security procedures, and emergency response protocols.
- Superior surveillance skills with an acute attention to detail and ability to identify potential threats or risks.
- Unquestionable integrity, strong ethical conduct, and a high level of professionalism in all interactions.
- Proficiency in operating various detecting systems and emergency equipment, including fire extinguishers and communication devices.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
- Mandatory proficiency in German (spoken and written) and preferred proficiency in English to effectively communicate with a diverse range of individuals.
- Possession of a valid Swiss Driver's License (Category B) with a clean driving record.
- Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a corporate, industrial, or high-traffic public environment.
- Additional language skills, such as French or Italian, would be a significant asset.
- Completed professional training or an eidg. Fachausweis (federal diploma) in security services.
- Demonstrated experience and training in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
- Familiarity with modern security technologies and software.
