Career.supersecrets is seeking a dedicated and experienced Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the meticulous maintenance and operations of our staff lodging facilities in Iyana-Ipaja, Agege. This pivotal role ensures a consistently clean, comfortable, and safe living environment for our valued hotel team members residing on-site. As a supervisor, you will be instrumental in upholding the highest standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction – in this unique case, ‘guests’ are our employees. You will lead a small, efficient team of housekeeping attendants, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to an exemplary standard. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve more than just overseeing cleaning; you will be the custodian of our staff’s comfort and well-being within their lodging. This includes managing inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, conducting regular inspections, scheduling shifts, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive atmosphere within the staff accommodation, promptly addressing any maintenance issues or resident concerns related to cleanliness or comfort. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff assigned to staff lodging.
- Inspect all staff rooms, common areas, and facilities to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, tidiness, and maintenance are consistently met.
- Develop and implement efficient cleaning schedules and routines.
- Train new housekeeping staff and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to the team.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, placing orders as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Monitor and control housekeeping expenses in line with budget guidelines.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained properly and report any malfunctions or repair needs.
- Adhere to and enforce strict health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures.
- Address and resolve any resident complaints or concerns regarding cleanliness or facility issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, staff attendance, and supply usage.
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to address any structural or equipment repairs in staff lodging.
- Conduct regular performance appraisals for team members and identify areas for improvement.
Required Skills
- Proven supervisory experience in housekeeping, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
