Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages (espresso, latte, cappuccino, etc.) adhering to established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain professional coffee equipment, including grinders, espresso machines, and brewers, ensuring cleanliness and proper functionality.
- Interact warmly and professionally with customers, taking orders, answering questions, and providing recommendations.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately using a POS system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café environment, including seating areas and workstations.
- Monitor and replenish coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, notifying management of low stock.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with other café duties as needed, such as light food preparation or serving pastries.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients and allergen information.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and excellent guest experience.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista, preferably in a hotel or high-volume café setting.
- Excellent knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and latte art.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training is a plus.
- Certification in food handling or safety.
- Familiarity with various coffee beans and roasting profiles.
- Experience with inventory management and ordering.
