Key Responsibilities
- Assist photographers with setting up and breaking down studio and on-location equipment, including lighting, backdrops, and props.
- Manage and organize photographic equipment, ensuring it is clean, charged, and in excellent working condition before and after shoots.
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling, client communication, and basic data entry related to projects.
- Help with basic image culling, sorting, and file management using designated software.
- Support during photoshoots by posing subjects, adjusting wardrobe, and ensuring the environment meets creative requirements.
- Assist with post-production tasks, including initial photo selections, basic retouching, and preparing images for client review.
- Run errands related to photo shoots, such as picking up props or supplies.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, both in the studio and on location.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of photography principles and camera equipment.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with clients and subjects.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team.
- Physical capability to lift and move photography equipment (up to 15-20kg).
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrolled in or completed a photography-related course or degree.
- Familiarity with Adobe Lightroom and/or Photoshop.
- Previous experience (even unpaid) in a photography studio or assisting a photographer.
- A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Possession of your own basic photography equipment (e.g., DSLR/mirrorless camera).
