Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual health assessments, including history taking, physical exams (as appropriate for telehealth), and diagnostic interpretations.
- Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and health conditions within the scope of practice.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, health promotion, and self-management strategies.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough electronic medical records (EMR) for all patient encounters.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as professional standards of practice and ethical guidelines for telehealth.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities.

Required Skills
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in New Mexico.
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., ANCC, AANP).
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner.
- Demonstrated proficiency with telehealth platforms and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport virtually.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Additional state licenses to practice as an NP in other states.
