Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company van to deliver goods to designated locations across Kisumu and surrounding areas.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company safety protocols.
• Verify the accuracy of goods being loaded and delivered against invoices or delivery manifests.
• Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring proper securing techniques to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain the cleanliness and conduct basic daily checks (e.g., fuel, tires, lights) of the company vehicle, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or issues.
• Report any vehicle incidents, accidents, or delays to the supervisor immediately.
• Assist with route planning and optimization when required, ensuring efficient delivery schedules.
• Accurately complete all delivery documentation and records.
• Represent Career.supersecrets positively through professional conduct and appearance.

Required Skills

• Valid Kenyan Driving License (Class BCE or equivalent is highly preferred; Class B is a minimum requirement if combined with ability to upgrade).
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 25 kg) safely.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to road rules.
• Excellent time management and punctuality to meet delivery schedules.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Basic literacy and numeracy for handling delivery documentation and records.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Kisumu city routes and surrounding areas.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (e.g., checking oil, tire pressure).
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role (even non-driving related).
• High School Certificate or equivalent educational qualification.
