Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the washing and cleaning of all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, and cooking equipment.
- Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen floors, work surfaces, and storage areas, adhering strictly to hygiene standards.
- Support the kitchen staff by organizing and storing clean dishes, pots, and pans in their designated locations.
- Help with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, under supervision.
- Ensure waste bins are emptied regularly and disposed of in accordance with company policies.
- Receive and organize deliveries, verifying contents against invoices and storing items appropriately.
- Assist with the general upkeep and deep cleaning of the kitchen equipment and premises as required.
- Support the chefs and cooks with any ad-hoc tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
