Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial client assessments and intake interviews to gather relevant background information.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans under the direct supervision of a licensed supervisor.
- Provide individual counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques (e.g., CBT, DBT, person-centered therapy).
- Maintain accurate and timely client records, progress notes, and other documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including supervisors, therapists, and administrative staff, to ensure comprehensive client care.
- Participate actively in regular clinical supervision and team meetings for case consultation and professional development.
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines, confidentiality standards, and legal requirements pertaining to mental health practice.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve therapeutic goals.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as appropriate, under supervision.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.
Required Skills
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Strong foundational knowledge of counseling theories and therapeutic techniques.
