Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly talented and self-motivated Freelance Event & Commercial Photographer to join our network of creative professionals in Abuja. This is an exciting opportunity for a photographer with a keen eye for detail, a strong artistic sensibility, and a proven track record in both event and commercial photography. You will be responsible for capturing high-quality images for a diverse range of clients, including corporate events, conferences, product launches, brand activations, promotional materials, and various commercial projects within the Abuja metropolitan area and potentially beyond.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand photography briefs, objectives, and desired visual styles for each assignment.
- Plan and execute photography sessions for various events (e.g., conferences, weddings, concerts, corporate gatherings) and commercial shoots (e.g., product, lifestyle, corporate headshots).
- Utilize professional-grade camera equipment, lighting, and accessories to capture high-quality images in diverse environments.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliver edited photographs within agreed-upon deadlines.
- Perform post-production tasks including image selection, editing, retouching, and color correction using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Manage and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of your work, demonstrating versatility and skill.
- Ensure all technical aspects of photography (exposure, focus, composition) are meticulously managed for optimal results.
- Maintain professional conduct and communication with clients, subjects, and event staff at all times.
- Proactively identify and resolve any technical or logistical challenges during shoots.
- Provide high-resolution and web-optimized images as required by clients, adhering to specific formatting guidelines.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) professional experience in event and commercial photography.
- Proficiency with professional DSLR/mirrorless camera systems, lenses, and external lighting equipment.
- Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for post-production.
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse event and commercial photography work.
- Excellent understanding of photography principles including composition, lighting, and exposure.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable personal transportation for carrying equipment and traveling to various shoot locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Photography, Fine Arts, or a related field.
