Are you a proactive leader with a proven track record in warehouse operations? CEVA Logistics is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Schiphol-Rijk. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates, conducting performance reviews and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, performing regular cycle counts and resolving discrepancies to maintain high inventory accuracy.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, implementing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.
- Optimize workflow and space utilization, identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with other departments, carriers, and customers to ensure smooth logistics operations and timely delivery of goods.
- Prepare and analyze operational reports, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Operate and oversee the safe use of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and ensure proper maintenance.
- Resolve operational issues and employee conflicts promptly and effectively, escalating when necessary.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new warehouse technologies and systems.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics principles.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies in a logistics setting.
- Familiarity with Dutch labor laws and regulations.
- Ability to communicate in Dutch is a significant plus.
- Experience in a global logistics or 3PL environment.
