Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-owned van to deliver goods to various destinations within the Sacramento area.
- Plan and optimize daily routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring proper securing of items to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
Required Skills
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C)
- Clean driving record (MVR) for the past 3-5 years
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS devices/apps
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks
- Good communication and customer service abilities
