As a Vendor Manager at Samsung Electronics in Suwon, you will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain and strengthening our strategic vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic vendor management programs and policies.
- Identify, evaluate, and select new vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to achieve optimal value and performance.
- Monitor and evaluate vendor performance against KPIs, addressing any discrepancies or issues proactively.
- Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Manage vendor compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, financial, and operational factors.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Procurement, Engineering, Legal) to define vendor requirements and ensure alignment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in vendor processes and performance.
- Prepare and present regular reports on vendor performance, market trends, and cost savings opportunities.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably within the electronics or manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and vendor relationship management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and Korean (written and spoken) is essential for effective communication with global and local partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ERP systems.
