Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload cargo from trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles using appropriate equipment.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, discrepancies, and proper labeling, reporting any issues promptly.
- Accurately sort, stack, and store goods in designated warehouse locations, ensuring optimal space utilization.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company and international safety standards.
- Document cargo movements, inventory levels, and other relevant information using internal tracking systems.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate cargo handling.
- Prepare cargo for shipment, including packing, labeling, and securing, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
- Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on material handling equipment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cargo handling, warehousing, or logistics operations.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a logistics environment.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and inventory tracking.
- Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license (UAE or international equivalent is a plus).
- Experience with inventory management systems (WMS).
- Prior experience working in an international or cross-cultural environment.
