Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior Civil Engineers in the design, analysis, and execution of various civil engineering structures and systems.
- Conduct thorough site visits, detailed inspections, and comprehensive surveys to gather essential data and monitor project progress.
- Prepare precise technical drawings, detailed specifications, and comprehensive reports using relevant software (e.g., CAD, BIM) and adhering to industry standards.
- Perform complex engineering calculations and in-depth analyses to inform and support critical design decisions.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and project managers, ensuring seamless project integration.
- Actively learn, understand, and apply relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements specific to construction in Latvia.
- Participate constructively in project meetings, contributing to insightful problem-solving and strategic decision-making processes.
- Accurately document and meticulously maintain project records, ensuring completeness, accessibility, and compliance.
- Research and evaluate new materials, innovative technologies, and advanced construction methods to enhance project efficiency, sustainability, and quality.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field (recently graduated or graduating within the next 6 months).
- Strong foundational understanding of fundamental civil engineering principles and theories.
- Proficiency in basic CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) for drafting and design.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as a valued member of a team.
- High level of motivation, genuine eagerness to learn, and a proactive approach to tasks and challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship, practical training, or relevant project experience in a civil engineering or construction environment.
