Key Responsibilities
- Assist registered nurses and other medical staff in providing direct patient care, adhering to established protocols.
- Help patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility (e.g., walking, transferring).
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, intake, and output, reporting any significant changes or concerns to nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment, including changing bed linens and tidying patient rooms.
- Support patient comfort by responding to calls, assisting with positioning, and ensuring their immediate needs are met.
- Transport patients within the facility as directed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transit.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks, documentation, and supply management as required by the clinical unit.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of patient care principles and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong sense of empathy, compassion, and patience towards patients and their families.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform duties that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
