Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and check incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to specifications, ensuring proper labelling and packaging.
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations, optimizing space and accessibility within the warehouse.
- Conduct regular inventory checks, assist with cycle counts, and facilitate stock rotation to prevent obsolescence.
- Operate manual and potentially powered warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely and efficiently, following all operational guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with loading outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to supervisors immediately to facilitate prompt resolution.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals and maintain workflow efficiency.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly (up to 25kg) throughout a shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks, from counting to packaging.
- Good basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading labels, understanding instructions, and counting inventory.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to daily attendance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform other physical tasks for extended periods.
