Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test electrical hardware components and systems for lithography tools, including power supplies, control units, sensor interfaces, and data acquisition systems.
  • Perform detailed electrical design, simulation, and analysis to ensure system performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and test procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, optical, software, manufacturing) to seamlessly integrate electrical systems into larger machine architectures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues during development, integration, and field deployment phases.
  • Participate actively in design reviews, FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and rigorous risk assessments.
  • Ensure strict compliance with relevant industry standards, international safety regulations, and ASML internal quality guidelines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for product design, development processes, and specialized tooling.

Required Skills

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in electrical hardware design and development.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, Zuken E3.series).
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles, power electronics, and advanced control systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with testing and debugging complex electrical systems using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Solid knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles and best practices for design for EMC compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical, analytical approach to complex technical challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, international team environment.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the semiconductor equipment industry or a similar high-tech precision manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC 61508) and proven experience in design for reliability.
  • Familiarity with FPGA/CPLD design and embedded systems development.
  • Extensive experience with high-voltage and high-current power systems.
  • Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for data analysis, scripting, and automation.
  • Dutch language skills are considered a valuable asset.
