Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting and disseminating press releases, media advisories, and other public statements.
- Contribute to the creation and scheduling of engaging content for the NGO's social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
- Monitor media coverage relevant to the NGO and its initiatives, compiling reports on findings.
- Support the planning and execution of awareness campaigns, community events, and fundraising activities.
- Conduct research to identify potential media contacts, influencers, and partnership opportunities within Edo State and beyond.
- Help develop and proofread communication materials such as brochures, newsletters, annual reports, and website content.
- Assist with internal communications, ensuring staff are informed about key organizational updates and achievements.
- Document success stories and testimonials from beneficiaries to be used in communication materials.
- Provide general administrative support to the communications department as needed.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated passion for social impact and the non-profit sector.
