We are seeking a dedicated and professional Driver to join our client’s logistics and delivery team in Wuse, Abuja. This pivotal role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods, documents, and personnel using a company-provided vehicle. As a Driver, you will be the face of our client’s operations on the road, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining vehicle integrity, and upholding a high standard of customer service. You will navigate the bustling streets of Abuja, primarily within the Wuse district and surrounding areas, demonstrating exceptional route knowledge and adherence to traffic regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company-provided vehicle for the delivery of goods, documents, and personnel.
- Plan and execute delivery routes, considering traffic, delivery times, and client preferences.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure all deliveries are made accurately and on schedule, obtaining necessary signatures and documentation.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring they are loaded and secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service, interacting professionally and courteously with clients and colleagues.
- Assist with loading and unloading items as required.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and tidy, presenting a professional image at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding delivery status or any unforeseen delays.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G minimum)
- Minimum of 2 years professional driving experience (company vehicle preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks, especially Wuse and surrounding areas
- Proven clean driving record
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to read maps and use GPS navigation systems effectively
- Good physical condition for lifting and carrying packages
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity and reliability
