Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial client assessments and formulate diagnostic impressions under clinical supervision.
- Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and supervisors.
- Provide direct counseling services (individual, group, and family) using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Actively participate in regular clinical supervision, case conferences, and team meetings to enhance skills and client care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Refer clients to appropriate internal and external community resources and support networks as needed.
- Adhere strictly to professional ethical guidelines, confidentiality regulations, and all agency policies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.
Required Skills
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited program.
- Eligibility for Associate-level licensure in Washington State (e.g., LMHCA, LSWAIC, LMFTA).
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and active listening abilities.
- Basic understanding of mental health diagnoses, treatment planning, and various therapeutic modalities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
