Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly talented and experienced Freelance Photographer specializing in events and commercial projects to join our dynamic network of professionals. This is an incredible opportunity for a creative individual who thrives on capturing compelling moments and producing visually stunning imagery for a diverse range of clients within Jabi Lake Mall, Abuja, and surrounding areas. As a freelance photographer, you will be instrumental in bringing our clients’ visions to life, whether it’s documenting the energy of a corporate event, capturing the essence of a product, or creating captivating lifestyle content for promotional campaigns.
We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of lighting and composition, and the technical proficiency to deliver high-quality, professional photographs consistently. You should be adept at working independently, managing your time effectively, and collaborating seamlessly with clients to understand their specific needs and objectives. This role requires flexibility, as assignments may vary in duration and location, primarily centered around events and commercial shoots within Jabi Lake Mall and the broader Abuja metropolis. You will be responsible for end-to-end photography services, from initial client consultation and shoot planning to execution, post-production, and final delivery of images. Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand photography needs, project scope, and desired outcomes for events and commercial shoots.
- Plan and prepare for shoots, including equipment selection, location scouting (if required), and shot list development.
- Execute high-quality photography at various events (corporate functions, product launches, private gatherings, etc.) and commercial settings (product photography, branding, lifestyle shoots).
- Utilize professional-grade camera equipment, lenses, lighting, and other accessories effectively to achieve desired results.
- Perform advanced post-production tasks, including culling, color correction, retouching, and cropping, to deliver polished images.
- Manage and organize digital assets efficiently, ensuring proper archiving and backup.
- Deliver final edited images to clients within agreed-upon deadlines and specifications.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and excellent communication throughout all client interactions.
- Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and equipment to continuously enhance photographic skills and services.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in professional DSLR/Mirrorless camera systems and associated lenses.
- Expertise in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for post-production and editing.
- Strong understanding of lighting techniques (natural, artificial, studio) and composition.
- Demonstrable portfolio showcasing a diverse range of event and commercial photography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in dynamic environments.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, professional work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related creative field.
- Experience with videography and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) is a plus.
