Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual patient assessments, including history taking and physical exams appropriate for telehealth.
- Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and best practices.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., lab work, imaging) and integrate results into patient care plans.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, educating patients on their conditions and care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members as needed.
- Provide patient education on preventative care, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development.
- Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and ensure patient data privacy and confidentiality.
- Manage a remote patient caseload efficiently and effectively.
Required Skills
- Active, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in California (and eligible for additional state licenses).
- Current national board certification (ANCC, AANP).
- Master's or Doctor of Nursing Practice (MSN/DNP) degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Technologically proficient and comfortable with telehealth platforms.
- DEA registration or ability to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a telehealth or remote care setting.
