Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials from vehicles, ensuring safe handling and placement.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, and production lines using manual or powered equipment.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing items to manifests and invoices.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse locations for easy access and efficient retrieval.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and potentially forklifts (if certified) safely and efficiently.
- Package, label, and prepare orders for shipping according to company standards.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with discrepancy reconciliation.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure working environment.
- Report any damages, discrepancies, or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the warehouse facility.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read labels, count items, and complete paperwork.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or basic warehouse procedures.
- Valid forklift operator certification (an advantage but not mandatory).
