Job Description

Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with a passion for optimizing logistics and supply chain processes in the healthcare sector? Mediq is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Supply Chain Coordinator to join our dynamic team in De Meern, Netherlands. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless flow of essential medical devices and care solutions from suppliers to patients and healthcare providers across the country. Your expertise will directly contribute to Mediq’s mission of delivering superior healthcare services and improving patient outcomes.

The Healthcare Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and monitoring all aspects of our supply chain, from procurement and inventory management to distribution and logistics. You will be the central point of contact for various stakeholders, including suppliers, warehouse operations, customer service, and sales teams. This position requires a proactive problem-solver with a strong analytical mindset, capable of identifying bottlenecks, implementing efficiencies, and ensuring compliance with stringent healthcare regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor the end-to-end supply chain processes, including ordering, stock management, warehousing, and distribution of medical products.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers, negotiating terms, monitoring performance, and resolving supply issues to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Optimize inventory levels to minimize costs while ensuring product availability and preventing stock-outs of critical medical supplies.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, quality standards (e.g., ISO, GDP), and internal policies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customer service, warehouse, and finance teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
  • Resolve logistics and delivery challenges, coordinating with carriers and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate product delivery.
  • Contribute to the implementation and optimization of supply chain management systems and tools.
  • Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, inventory status, and key metrics for management review.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven ability to manage inventory, forecast demand, and optimize logistics processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., advanced Excel).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for supply chain management.
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal); Dutch language skills are a strong plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines and healthcare industry regulations.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPIM).
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles in a supply chain context.
