Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of laundry staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Oversee the sorting, washing, drying, folding, and pressing of all hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control standards, verifying that all items are spotlessly clean, properly ironed, and free from damage before distribution.
- Manage laundry chemical usage, inventory, and reordering to prevent stockouts and optimize cost-efficiency.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance of laundry equipment (washers, dryers, ironers) and report any malfunctions promptly.
- Implement and enforce safety and hygiene protocols within the laundry department.
- Maintain accurate records of linen inventory, laundry production, and chemical consumption.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments (Housekeeping, F&B) to ensure timely delivery and retrieval of laundered items.
- Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet hotel standards.
- Provide regular feedback and coaching to laundry team members to foster skill development and a positive work environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Laundry Supervisor or a similar role in a hotel or hospitality setting.
