We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Reporting Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in collecting, analyzing, and reporting Aldar’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance data. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and analyze environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data from various internal departments and external sources.
- Prepare comprehensive sustainability reports and disclosures in accordance with established reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, DJSI).
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sustainability targets, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of data collection methodologies, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of information.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, finance, HR, investor relations) to gather relevant data and insights for reporting.
- Conduct research on emerging sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices to inform reporting strategies and identify areas for improvement.
- Support the external assurance process for sustainability reports, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Contribute to the communication of Aldar's sustainability performance to internal and external audiences, including investors, customers, and employees.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of local and international sustainability standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing Aldar's overall sustainability performance and strategy.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in sustainability reporting and ESG data analysis (minimum 3 years).
- Strong understanding of major sustainability reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD).
- Excellent data collection, analysis, and interpretation skills, with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Professional certifications in sustainability (e.g., LEED, FSA, PMP) are a plus.
- Experience with sustainability software platforms (e.g., Enablon, Workiva, GHG accounting software).
- Knowledge of the real estate or construction industry's sustainability challenges and opportunities.
- Fluency in Arabic is an advantage.
