Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy goods vehicles (HGVs/LGVs) for long-haul and regional deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to various destinations.
- Adhere strictly to all UK driving regulations, road safety laws, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate driving logs, delivery records, and complete required paperwork.
- Load and unload cargo as required, securing loads properly to prevent damage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents immediately.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid UK HGV/LGV Class 1 (Category C+E) or Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
- Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving.
- Excellent knowledge of UK road networks and traffic regulations.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Clean driving record.
