Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for community inquiries, providing helpful and accurate information both in person and over the phone.
- Assist in the planning, promotion, and execution of local community events, workshops, and engagement activities.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records, databases, and reporting systems related to community programs and resident interactions.
- Support the coordination of volunteers, including recruitment, scheduling, and appreciation efforts.
- Draft and disseminate engaging communication materials, such as newsletters, social media updates, and website content.
- Conduct proactive community outreach, gathering feedback and identifying areas for enhanced support.
- Manage general administrative tasks, including scheduling, correspondence, and procurement of supplies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure integrated and effective community support services.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Proven organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for administrative duties and record keeping.
- A strong sense of empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to assist community members.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic data entry and information management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a customer service, administrative, or community-facing role.
- Familiarity with the local Exeter and Devon community, its resources, and demographics.
