Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload passenger baggage and cargo from aircraft and baggage carts efficiently and safely.
- Operate and drive various ground support equipment (GSE) such as tugs, baggage carts, and belt loaders (training provided if necessary).
- Sort and transport baggage to designated areas, including baggage claim carousels, connecting flights, and cargo holds.
- Adhere strictly to all airline and airport safety procedures, security regulations, and company policies.
- Inspect baggage for damage and report any issues promptly to supervisors.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and airline staff to ensure coordinated operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the ramp and in baggage handling areas.
- Assist with other ground operations duties as required to support overall airport functionality.
- Perform duties in all weather conditions, ensuring continuity of service.
Required Skills
- Strong physical fitness and stamina, capable of lifting and carrying heavy items (up to 25 kg) regularly.
- Ability to work effectively and safely in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and security procedures.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic understanding of English for communication and safety briefings.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience (minimum 1 year) in baggage handling, logistics, warehousing, or a physically demanding role.
- Valid UAE driving license or international equivalent (advantageous, but not mandatory for all roles).
