As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be the linchpin in managing the end-to-end logistics process. Your day-to-day will involve overseeing warehouse activities, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and optimizing delivery routes for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, implementing best practices for storage and handling, and liaising with various stakeholders including suppliers, carriers, and internal sales teams to ensure smooth operations. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
- Coordinate all inbound and outbound logistics activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of products.
- Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems, conduct regular stock counts, and reconcile any discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
- Plan, optimize, and manage delivery routes for the fleet, considering factors such as fuel efficiency, delivery timelines, and customer requirements.
- Liaise effectively with suppliers, third-party logistics providers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve logistics-related issues promptly.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including waybills, invoices, delivery notes, and customs clearance forms when applicable.
- Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, providing proactive updates to stakeholders on status, potential delays, and resolutions.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental regulations within the warehouse facility and during transportation.
- Implement and uphold quality control standards for goods handling, storage, and packaging to minimize damage and loss.
- Analyze logistics data, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports on logistics activities, inventory levels, and delivery performance.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain coordination.
- Proven experience with Inventory Management Systems (IMS) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong understanding of logistics planning, route optimization, and delivery management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
