We are seeking an experienced and visionary Talent Engagement Strategist to join our Human Resources team in Maputo. This critical role is designed to elevate Vodacom Mozambique’s employer brand, enhance our candidate experience, and build robust talent pipelines that align with our strategic growth objectives. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and executing innovative strategies to attract, engage, and retain top-tier talent in a highly competitive market. You will work cross-functionally with various departments, including Marketing, Communications, and departmental hiring managers, to craft compelling employer value propositions and ensure a seamless, positive journey for all potential and current employees. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive talent engagement strategy aligned with Vodacom Mozambique’s business goals and employer branding objectives.
- Manage and optimize all aspects of the candidate experience, from initial outreach to onboarding, ensuring a positive and consistent journey.
- Lead initiatives to strengthen Vodacom Mozambique's employer brand through various channels, including digital platforms, career events, and partnerships.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify talent trends, emerging recruitment technologies, and best practices in talent engagement.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to understand talent needs and design targeted recruitment campaigns.
- Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of talent engagement strategies and drive continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions, industry associations, and professional networks to foster talent pipelines.
- Oversee the development of compelling job descriptions, career site content, and recruitment marketing materials.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives throughout the talent acquisition process.
- Organize and participate in career fairs, networking events, and employer branding activities.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in talent acquisition, employer branding, or talent engagement roles.
- Strong understanding of the Mozambican labor market and local talent landscape.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills in English and Portuguese.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic talent initiatives.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience in digital marketing and social media for recruitment purposes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
