We are on the hunt for a diligent, experienced, and reliable Light Vehicle Driver to join our dynamic team in Kericho, Kenya. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport personnel, documents, and light goods to designated locations.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the company vehicle to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of the company vehicle, reporting any faults or maintenance needs immediately.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, routes taken, and any incidents encountered.
- Assist with loading and unloading of items as needed, ensuring secure transit.
- Plan and execute efficient routes, considering traffic conditions and time constraints.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients regarding schedules, delays, or any operational concerns.
- Handle company confidential information and items with utmost discretion and security.
- Represent the company professionally and courteously in all interactions.
Required Skills
- Valid Kenyan Driving License (Class BCE or B1, B2, B3 as applicable for light vehicles)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in Kenya
- Excellent knowledge of Kericho and surrounding areas road networks
- Proven clean driving record with no major traffic violations
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English and Swahili
- High level of responsibility and integrity
- Physical fitness to perform duties including lifting and securing items.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate in Defensive Driving or Advanced Driving.
