Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual health assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations via telemedicine platforms.
- Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic conditions, providing evidence-based care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and order diagnostic tests, interpreting results to guide ongoing patient management.
- Provide thorough health education and counseling to patients on disease prevention, health promotion, and self-management strategies.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely electronic health records (EHRs) in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, specialists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated care.
- Adhere strictly to all telehealth guidelines, ethical standards, and state/federal regulations governing virtual practice.
- Ensure patient privacy and data security through diligent use of secure communication channels and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical skills and patient outcomes.
Required Skills
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in Illinois.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., FNP, ANP, AGNP) from a recognized certifying body.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on patient-centered interaction.
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and general computer skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage a diverse patient caseload, and prioritize effectively in a remote setting.
- Demonstrated empathy, cultural competence, and a patient-first approach to care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) or more years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in an outpatient, primary care, or urgent care setting.
