Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Laundry Supervisor to join the vibrant housekeeping team of a prestigious hotel located in Lekki Phase 2. This vital role is central to maintaining the impeccable standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction our partner hotel is renowned for. As the Laundry Supervisor, you will be instrumental in overseeing all aspects of the hotel’s laundry operations, ensuring that all linen, uniforms, and guest items are processed efficiently, hygienically, and to the highest quality standards.
Your leadership will drive the daily workflow, from sorting and washing to pressing, folding, and distribution. You will manage a dedicated team of laundry attendants, providing hands-on training, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive, productive work environment. Beyond daily operations, you will be responsible for inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of detergents and supplies, and proactively identifying and addressing maintenance needs for laundry equipment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of various fabric care techniques, and an unwavering commitment to health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the hotel laundry department, including washing, drying, pressing, folding, and distributing linens, uniforms, and guest laundry.
- Supervise, train, and schedule laundry attendants, ensuring optimal staffing levels and adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and quality for all laundered items, inspecting for stains, damage, and proper finishing.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies, chemicals, and linen stock, placing orders as needed and minimizing waste.
- Ensure all laundry equipment is operated correctly and maintained regularly, reporting any malfunctions or repair needs promptly.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations within the laundry area.
- Monitor productivity and efficiency of laundry operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Handle guest laundry requests and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the Housekeeping Manager and other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of linen inventory, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance.
