Career.supersecrets is actively seeking a talented and dynamic Freelance Photographer specializing in events and commercial projects to join our esteemed network of creative professionals in the vibrant heart of Abuja, FCT. This is an exceptional opportunity for a visual storyteller with a keen eye for detail, a passion for capturing compelling narratives, and the technical prowess to deliver high-quality imagery across a diverse range of assignments. As a freelance photographer connected through Career.supersecrets, you will be offered the flexibility to take on exciting projects that span corporate events, product launches, brand campaigns, engaging portraits, architectural shoots, and more, working with some of Nigeria’s most prominent organizations and businesses across various sectors. The remuneration for this role is competitive and project-based, ranging from NGN 150,000 to NGN 450,000 per month depending on the volume and complexity of assignments undertaken.
We are looking for individuals who can not only expertly operate advanced camera equipment but also possess a strong understanding of lighting techniques, composition principles, and advanced post-production workflows. You will be instrumental in helping our clients communicate their stories and visions through stunning visual content that resonates with their target audiences. Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-quality photography for a variety of events (corporate, social, public) and commercial projects (product, lifestyle, corporate branding).
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand photography briefs, objectives, and deliverables.
- Utilize professional-grade camera equipment, lenses, and lighting setups effectively on-site.
- Manage all aspects of photography projects from pre-production planning and on-site execution to post-production editing and delivery.
- Perform advanced photo editing, retouching, and color correction to meet client specifications and brand guidelines.
- Ensure all images are delivered on time, adhere to quality standards, and are properly cataloged and archived.
- Maintain professional conduct and represent Career.supersecrets positively during client engagements.
- Continuously update skills and knowledge of industry trends, equipment, and software.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a professional photographer with a strong portfolio showcasing events and commercial work.
- Expert proficiency with professional DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and various lenses.
- Advanced knowledge of lighting techniques (natural, artificial, studio flash) and composition.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other relevant photo editing software.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling and brand aesthetics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Ownership of professional photography equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing is a plus.
- Familiarity with drone photography/videography.
- Ability to work across different styles and adapt to diverse client needs.
- Existing network within the Abuja media and events industry.
