Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of resort facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house, to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Execute general repairs and maintenance tasks across various areas, including plumbing, basic electrical work, carpentry, painting, and minor appliance repairs.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests from guests and staff, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Conduct preventative maintenance schedules to prolong the lifespan of equipment and infrastructure, minimizing breakdowns.
- Assist with the maintenance of resort grounds, including landscaping, pathways, and outdoor features, as needed.
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring their proper care and storage.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and resort policies.
- Communicate effectively with the maintenance manager, other team members, and resort staff regarding ongoing tasks and issues.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions independently or as part of a team.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1.5 years of proven experience in general maintenance or a related field.
- Proficiency in basic plumbing repairs (e.g., leaks, unclogging drains).
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical systems and ability to perform minor electrical repairs (e.g., changing light fixtures).
- Competency in basic carpentry and painting tasks.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform duties requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
