Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload parcels into and out of delivery vehicles.
- Operate delivery vehicles according to established safety guidelines and traffic laws.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to ensure timely parcel delivery.
- Interact professionally with customers, obtaining signatures and resolving minor delivery issues.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and electronic records.
- Handle cash or electronic payments as required for cash-on-delivery parcels.
- Ensure the security and integrity of all parcels entrusted for delivery.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E or G)
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent navigation and route planning abilities.
- Good verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Basic literacy and numeracy for record-keeping.
- Physical stamina and endurance for a demanding role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or assistant.
