Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate company vehicles for transportation of goods and personnel.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet schedules and deadlines.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and fuel consumption.
- Ensure the safety and security of goods during transit.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and colleagues regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Assist with loading and unloading items as required.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical malfunctions promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle.
- Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G or relevant)
- Proven experience as a professional driver (logistics/delivery preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic regulations
- Strong navigational skills and ability to use GPS devices
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Physical fitness to load/unload goods and handle demanding schedules
Preferred Qualifications
