Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring network performance, identifying potential issues, and ensuring optimal uptime.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and resolution of basic network problems across LAN, WAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi environments.
- Execute routine network maintenance tasks, including device reboots, firmware updates, and configuration backups.
- Meticulously document network configurations, changes, and operational procedures to maintain accurate records.
- Provide technical support to end-users regarding network connectivity and access issues.
- Actively participate in learning and applying industry best practices in network administration and security.
- Collaborate effectively with senior network engineers on various projects, contributing to design and implementation phases.
- Manage IP address assignments and DNS entries, ensuring proper network resource allocation.
- Assist in the basic configuration and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model).
- Familiarity with common network protocols (DHCP, DNS, HTTP, FTP, SSH).
- Proficiency in using basic network troubleshooting tools (ping, tracert, ipconfig, netstat).
- Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
