Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead sommeliers in daily wine service, including setup and breakdown of the wine station.
- Learn and accurately present wine lists to guests, providing basic recommendations under supervision.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organizing wines in the cellar.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for all wines to maintain quality and integrity.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wine cellar, storage areas, and wine service equipment.
- Support sommeliers in conducting wine tastings and educational sessions for staff.
- Develop a foundational knowledge of wine regions, grape varietals, vintages, and food pairings through dedicated training.
- Provide exceptional guest service, anticipating needs and ensuring a memorable dining experience for patrons.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards as mandated by the establishment and local regulations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
