Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory tests and experiments following established protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare reagents, media, and solutions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
- Record and document experimental data meticulously in lab notebooks and electronic systems.
- Assist senior researchers in setting up and conducting complex experiments.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering supplies and ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety regulations, waste disposal procedures, and quality control guidelines.
- Clean and sterilize laboratory glassware and equipment.
- Support general lab maintenance and organization to ensure a clean and efficient workspace.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding experimental results and project progress.
- Learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies as required by research projects.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field.
- Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using standard laboratory equipment (e.g., centrifuges, pH meters, microscopes).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and record-keeping.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
