Career.supersecrets is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Instructional Designer Assistant to join our fully remote team, based out of Belfast, Northern Ireland. You will play a crucial role in supporting our Senior Instructional Designers and Subject Matter Experts, helping to transform complex information into clear, concise, and compelling educational content. As an Instructional Designer Assistant, you will be involved in various stages of the instructional design process, from initial research and content gathering to drafting materials and assisting with quality assurance. Your ability to organize information, communicate effectively, and meticulously manage details will be key to your success. Key Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Instructional Designers in conducting needs assessments and audience analysis to inform learning objectives.
- Support the research, collection, and organization of content from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other sources.
- Draft outlines, storyboards, scripts, and learning materials for various formats, including e-learning, blended learning, and instructor-led training.
- Review and edit educational content for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and adherence to brand guidelines and instructional design principles.
- Help develop engaging and interactive learning activities, assessments, and job aids.
- Assist with the formatting and publication of learning content using authoring tools and learning management systems (LMS).
- Participate in quality assurance reviews of learning modules to ensure functionality, consistency, and a positive user experience.
- Maintain project documentation, including instructional design plans, content outlines, and version control.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in instructional design, educational technology, and adult learning.
- Provide administrative support to the instructional design team as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Basic understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
