Key Responsibilities
- Sort laundry items according to fabric type, color, and degree of soiling.
- Operate commercial washing, drying, and ironing machines safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload laundry, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Fold, press, and organize clean linens, towels, and uniforms to hotel standards.
- Identify and pre-treat stubborn stains as needed.
- Deliver clean laundry to designated areas such as guest rooms, linen closets, and food & beverage outlets.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including equipment and supply storage.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, damage, or supply shortages promptly to the supervisor.
- Adhere strictly to all hotel hygiene, health, and safety regulations and procedures.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts of linen and laundry supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the laundry supervisor or management.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift, push, and pull heavy laundry items.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
