Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon arrival and departure, creating a positive first and last impression.
- Manage the reservation system and walk-in waitlists efficiently and accurately, estimating wait times.
- Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus, and informing them of their server's name.
- Answer incoming phone calls professionally, addressing inquiries, and taking reservations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, lobby, and entrance area.
- Assist with light dining room setup and breakdown tasks as needed, such as polishing silverware or folding napkins.
- Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth dining room operations.
- Handle guest concerns or special requests with grace and direct them to management when necessary.
- Monitor dining room activity to determine seating and table availability.
- Support the service team by running food, refilling drinks, or clearing tables during peak hours.
Required Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
