Key Responsibilities
- Washing and sterilising crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment to the highest standards.
- Assisting with the unloading and proper storage of deliveries, ensuring correct stock rotation.
- Maintaining impeccable cleanliness of kitchen floors, work surfaces, and all food preparation areas throughout shifts.
- Disposing of waste and recycling materials in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling and chopping, when required.
- Ensuring strict compliance with all health and safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Operating dishwashers and other kitchen cleaning machinery safely and efficiently.
- Supporting the culinary team with any ad-hoc tasks to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and proven reliability.
- Ability to work effectively and maintain composure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and carry heavy items (up to 20kg).
