Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a personal vehicle for the delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, utilizing navigation tools.
- Verify the accuracy of delivery contents against shipping documents before and after each delivery.
- Load, unload, and secure items properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with customers, dispatch, and internal teams.
- Handle cash or digital payments and accurately complete delivery paperwork as required.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service, resolving delivery-related issues courteously and effectively.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Required Skills
- Valid Rwandan driving license (Category B or higher)
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of Bugesera and surrounding areas
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to operate GPS devices and relevant delivery applications
- Good physical condition to handle loading and unloading of packages
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda; working knowledge of English is an advantage
- Ownership of a reliable, well-maintained vehicle (car or van) with valid insurance
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with electronic proof of delivery systems
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance
