Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Salesforce Administrator to join our dynamic IT team in Tokyo. As a Salesforce Administrator at Rakuten, you will play a critical role in optimizing and maintaining our Salesforce platform to ensure it effectively supports the diverse business needs across various departments. You will be the primary point of contact for all Salesforce-related inquiries, working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, implement solutions, and provide ongoing support. This role demands a proactive individual with a deep understanding of Salesforce best practices, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for leveraging technology to drive efficiency and user satisfaction. You will be instrumental in configuring, developing, and evolving our Salesforce environment, ensuring data integrity, security, and scalability. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of Salesforce administration including user setup, profiles, roles, security, customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, and validation rules.
- Develop and maintain complex workflows, process builders, flows, and approval processes to automate business processes.
- Provide daily end-user support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity within the Salesforce platform.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze needs, and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.
- Perform regular data maintenance, including data de-duplication, cleanup, and backups, utilizing tools like Data Loader.
- Manage Salesforce release cycles, including sandbox refreshes, testing new features, and communicating changes to users.
- Create and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to management and teams.
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to educate users on Salesforce functionalities and best practices.
- Stay current with Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices, proactively recommending enhancements.
- Support system integrations with other business applications as required.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator in a complex environment.
- Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM201) is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Salesforce configuration, including custom objects, fields, workflows, process builders, and validation rules.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security model (profiles, permission sets, OWDs, sharing rules).
- Experience with data management and migration tools like Salesforce Data Loader.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English to interact with a diverse, international team and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification (ADM211).
- Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Experience Cloud.
- Familiarity with Apex, Visualforce, or Lightning Web Components (LWC) concepts.
- Project management experience or experience leading small Salesforce enhancement projects.
- Proficiency in Japanese (verbal and written) is a plus for local stakeholder communication.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
