Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a commercial van for the transport and delivery of goods.
- Adhere to assigned routes, delivery schedules, and traffic laws.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify the accuracy of cargo against delivery manifests and obtain necessary signatures.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers.
- Ensure the cleanliness and general upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Represent the company professionally to clients and the public.
Required Skills
- Valid UAE driving license (or ability to obtain one upon arrival).
- Proven experience as a Van Operator or Delivery Driver.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Ability to read maps and use GPS navigation systems effectively.
