Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and participate in the daily activities of warehouse staff, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of warehouse associates, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Ensure the efficient and accurate receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment, strictly enforcing all safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize warehouse layout, workflow, and operational efficiency.
- Operate and safely maintain various warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments (e.g., logistics, customer service) to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support the professional development of team members.
- Troubleshoot operational issues as they arise, implementing swift and effective corrective actions.
- Prepare daily activity reports and communicate key metrics to management.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a warehouse leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and motivational abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other inventory tracking software.
- Certified or ability to become certified in operating various warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Solid understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite, especially Excel).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- OSHA certification or extensive knowledge of occupational safety standards.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
