Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly professional, reliable, and experienced Private Family Driver to support a discerning family located in Sangotedo, Lekki. The ideal candidate will possess an impeccable driving record, strong knowledge of Lagos road networks, particularly the Lekki axis, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
As a Private Family Driver, you will be an integral part of the household, responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and comfortable transportation of family members to various destinations including schools, offices, appointments, social engagements, and errands. Discretion, punctuality, and a proactive approach are paramount in this role. We are looking for someone who not only has superior driving skills but also exhibits a respectful demeanor, excellent communication, and a keen eye for detail when it comes to vehicle maintenance and cleanliness. You will be expected to manage your schedule efficiently, adapt to changes, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times. This role requires flexibility, as occasional evening or weekend duties may be necessary, for which overtime or compensatory time off will be arranged. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport family members to various destinations, including school, work, appointments, and social events.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good operating condition of the assigned vehicle(s) at all times.
- Perform routine vehicle checks (tyres, oil, fuel, lights, etc.) and arrange for scheduled maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Plan optimal routes using GPS and real-time traffic updates to ensure timely arrivals.
- Assist family members with loading and unloading luggage, groceries, and other items.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding all family matters.
- Be punctual and reliable for all scheduled trips and duties.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance expenses.
- Communicate effectively with family members regarding schedules and any potential delays.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional private family or corporate driving experience
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks, especially Lekki, Ajah, and Ikoyi areas
- Impeccable driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations
- Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and basic maintenance
- Ability to use GPS navigation systems and smartphone applications.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
- Good communication skills (written and verbal English)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required
